Friends of Oconee County Animal Shelter, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping pets through outreach, education, support and advocacy.

OUTREACH
Community is the heart of what we do. We offer services and resources to pet owners in our community who need assistance with their pets due to personal or financial constraints. We make every effort to ensure that pets remain in their homes with the families who love them while promoting responsible pet ownership.

NEIGHBORHOOD CATS
Our goal is to educate! Spay-neuter initiatives are the humane solution to ending overpopulation and allowing healthy cats to live the remainder of their natural lives in the environment they are most comfortable in.

ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT
We work to raise funds for local rescue organizations and animal shelters to provide crucial financial assistance for Emergency Medical Care for animals that would otherwise not receive treatment and work to support rescue initiatives for the shelter's most vulnerable residents.

ADVOCACY
It is our belief that animals should be treated humanely and should not be subject to suffering. We take pride in providing a voice to the animals in need within our community. One of the best ways to get to know the needs of your community is to do some hands on work and volunteer. We encourage you to get involved to make sure our communities and elected officials support animal-friendly programs and policies.
